Aime Leon Dore x Sunday Walk (Spec Ad)
Sunday Walks imagines how Aimé Leon Dore could enter the pet category without losing the visual world the brand has built. The goal was to create a spec campaign that feels unmistakably ALD while introducing a new product vertical that fits naturally into the brand’s lifestyle universe.
The focus of the project is art direction: building a visual system that merges ALD’s identity with the everyday ritual of walking your dog.
Concept: Elevating the Everyday
The creative idea behind Sunday Walks is to reframe a common ritual, a quiet morning walk with your dog, as a moment worthy of the ALD aesthetic.
The dog is not the focus.
The lifestyle is.
The concept treats the walk the way ALD treats getting dressed or grabbing a coffee: as a simple routine infused with craft, calm, and style.
Art Direction System:
A cohesive visual system was built around ALD’s established aesthetic. Every choice ladders back to the brand.
Palette
Warm neutrals, soft browns, muted greens. These tones appear throughout ALD campaigns and retail spaces.
Textures
Wool, natural leather, wood, brushed metal.
These materials echo ALD’s commitment to tactile quality and craft.Lighting
Soft natural light with gentle falloff.
This avoids gloss or harshness and maintains ALD’s editorial intimacy.Composition
Negative space, balanced framing, quiet visual rhythm.
Products sit within an aspirational lifestyle rather than feeling like traditional dog-product photography.Styling
Minimal, understated, and free from novelty elements.
The dog’s accessories mirror ALD’s design language without being overly cute or decorative.
My Role: Art Direction / Photography / Lighting / Editing / Styling
TALENT DIRECTION:
The posing and expressions remained relaxed and grounded, consistent with ALD’s signature attitude. The connection between the person and the dog needed to feel lived in and editorial, not staged or cutesy. The pet naturally became part of the ALD lifestyle environment.
